Shaw Reel Cinema Club Presents: A full moon screening of An American Werewolf in London

Howl under the full moon with Shaw reel cinema club as you enjoy a special screening of the legendary 1981 horror – comedy classic An American Werewolf in London.

Two American friends are on a walking trip in the English countryside. The hostile locals at The Slaughter Lamb pub warn them to stay on the road and keep clear of the moors but not taking their warnings seriously the young American’s wander into the night and are savagely attached, by something.

What follows is wild, witty and genuinely terrifying journey through the streets of London – equal parts laugh out loud comedy and pulse pounding horror.

John Landis’s cult favourite remains the gold standard of werewolf movies, thanks to its razor sharp script, unforgettable performances, and of course Rick Bakers ground breaking, Oscar winning practical effects. That iconic bone crunching transformation scene is a masterpiece of body horror and still impresses and repulses 45 years later.

The night begins with a live performance on the Wurltizer cinema organ courtesy of The Scottish Cinema Organ Trust and the bar will remain open throughout the evening for all your drinks and popcorn.
