A Memory Morning with John McLaughlin

Signed from Swindon Town in the summer of 1979, John McLaughlin would be a regular right back in not one, but two promotion-winning teams under Frank Burrows from Division Four in 1980 and under Bobby Campbell as third division champions in 1983. This distinction puts him among an exclusive group of players including Steve Aizlewood, Alan Rogers, Peter Ellis and Alan Knight.

In conversation he will tell the story of what it was like to play under both Burrows and Campbell and recall a distinguished Pompey career which saw him play more than 170 games for the club and score one goal.
