Let’s make every street a Power Station with POP

Multiple dates and times Online, Zoom

Join POP and Power Station for our monthly call for interested and new Street Power Champions to get started (or inspired) on making change street by street. These sessions take place on the second Wednesday, every month.

Learn what Street Power Champions do, how the street-by-street approach works, and the support you’ll get from the POP team. It’s an informal chat - a bit of information with a lot of time for questions and ideas - with a community of passionate neighbours who want to bring power back into the hands of people.

The video call will start at 7pm, and wrap by 8pm.

About People Owned Power (POP)

POP are empowering communities to install, generate, store and share their own renewable energy, street by street, neighbourhood by neighbourhood. Bills go down, energy security goes up, and power flows to where it belongs: in the hands of people. We work with local tradespeople to develop their skills, making sure money made locally, stays invested in your community. Cutting bills without compromising energy security, for a fairer share of power for all. Question about the event? Reach out to us at hello@pop.energy.

About Power Station

Power Station began in the depths of lockdown - and in the aftermath of [Dan Edelstyn & Hilary Powell’s] previous film Bank Job, where they purchased and blew up £1.2 million of local debt - with the question ‘'what could we do from where we live, with the people around us, to build power - of energy and imagination?’ Working to turn a street and local schools solar, Power Station is a scalable in-your-face prototype of community led power. Learn more about the film, and where you can watch it, at power.film.
