Power in people’s hands: renewable energy for every home | POP Bristol

People Owned Power (POP) is celebrating the movement to make energy fairer in Bristol: cheaper bills for warmer homes, using cleaner energy that keeps people healthier and happier.

Join POP at our Bristol launch party at 6pm on Wednesday 19th November with a conversation about building an energy system that is fair, affordable and accessible.

Learn how to cut your bills and increase your energy security with renewable energy, meet neighbours who are also ready to build a stronger community in Bristol, and take some time to celebrate the possibility of a fairer future. A future where there is enough for everyone; one that is more sustainable, happier, and where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The evening will kick off with a conversation about:

⚡How we energise our communities in thinking about how we power our homes

🏘️ What more affordable, accessible and sustainable energy looks like

🌞 Why now is the perfect time to start building this more inclusive and optimistic future

… Before breaking out into a bit of a celebration 🕺

There will be plenty of time to chat and connect with your neighbours and communities about how we can build a fairer energy system together - and shift from dependence on the current system to energy independence that puts money in our pockets, and keeps profits in our communities.

About People Owned Power (POP)

POP are empowering communities to install, generate, store and share their own renewable energy, street by street, neighbourhood by neighbourhood. Bills go down, energy security goes up, and power flows to where it belongs: in the hands of people. We work with local tradespeople to develop their skills, making sure money made locally, stays invested in your community. Cutting bills without compromising energy security, for a fairer share of power for all. Question about the event? Reach out to us at hello@pop.energy.
