This group course is run over 3 Saturday morning sessions - 13th, 20th & 27th May 10:00 - 13:30
This course is ideal for anyone who will be 20-33 weeks onwards at the first session.
The course is taught by me, Charlotte Watson, I'm a highly qualified and FEDANT registered Hypnobirthing antenatal teacher with experience teaching and supporting parents-to-be preparing for all types of birth, be that home, hospital or planned caesarean birth.
What do I learn about on a the hypnobirthing course?
During the course you receive over 10 hours of engaging, evidence based birth preparation education, we discuss:
- How birth works from start to finish, understanding what is happening in your body, how your muscles, hormones and baby all work together during birth from the onset of labour to birthing your baby and your placenta and the golden hour after birth.
- Understanding how your mind and body work together during labour and birth and the importance of building a positive birth mindset which benefits all births.
- Tips for how to work with your body during birth to help you feel most comfortable.
- Tips for optimising your birth environment to benefit your birth, wherever you birth you baby.
- Hypnobirthing breathing and relaxation techniques to help you remain calm and confident during labour and birth. These techniques are beneficial to all life situations, not just birth.
- Your birth choices including place of birth, birth positions and pain relief choices.
- How to navigate the maternity system and make calm, confident decisions that are right for you and your baby.
- Your options if you are offered medical intervention like induction of labour, caesarean birth and how to use your Hypnobirthing skills in these birth scenarios to make it a positive experience.
- We discuss how to be an effective and supportive birth partner who is a key part of your baby's birth - no feeling like a spare part for birth partners here.

What is included in the hypnobirthing course?

- An interactive hypnobirthing workbook that you can look back at after the course
- Hypnobirthing MP3 tracks to download and listen to after your deposit is received

- My ongoing support until your baby is born (if you would like it)

How do I reserve my space?
You can reserve your space by paying a £50 non-refundable deposit. This space is for you and your birth partner. The outstanding balance of £225 is then due 1 week before your course starts. I will email you before your course starts to sort this out. The full investment for the course is £275.

After your deposit is received I will email you a form to confirm some details and send you the MP3 relaxation tracks.
If for any reason in person courses cannot take place, for example extreme weather or government restrictions, the course will be rescheduled or proceed online via live video link e.g. Zoom.
