Ahmad Al-Bazz: The Erasure of Palestine — Presentation & Discussion

We will be hosting award-winning photographer and filmmaker Ahmad Al-Bazz for an evening presentation of his new book, The Erasure of Palestine. The result of a three-year journey where Al-Bazz documented what remains of the hundreds of Palestinian villages and towns depopulated and destroyed since 1948.

Al-Bazz will present his experience of making the book and will also reflect on his project in relation to the current escalation in the Gaza Strip, whose population is made up of 80% refugees from depopulated locations across Mandatory Palestine, many of which are documented in his book.

The book is brought to you by the Edinburgh-based publishing house Museums Etc.

Ahmad’s biography:

Ahmad Al-Bazz, born in 1993, is an award-winning independent journalist, photographer and documentary filmmaker based in the Palestinian region. His work primarily focuses on Palestinian-Israeli affairs and their real-world implications on the ground.
