Summer Glazing Workshop

This [two and a half hour] workshop is your opportunity to glaze and add colour to any pieces you have made with Susie which she has already fired to bisqueware or is aware you would like her to fire for you in time for this workshop. You will then be able to have these pieces fired to stoneware. 

There is a vast choice of fabulous colours and colour combinations always possible. Please share your general colour preferences with Susie as there are many ways to achieve similar colours. All being well, once fired your work should be frost-resist, food-safe, oven-proof, dishwasher and microwave friendly.

Your pottery will be made ready for you to collect from The Base 4 - 6 weeks after the workshop. Susie will notify you when it is ready. You must let Susie know at the time of booking which pieces you would like to glaze, which course or course date you made them and if possible send her a photo.

Please be aware this course includes:

1). Please note there is a nominal additional 'item by item' charge for firing (depending on the size and scale of your work) to be paid by cash or card directly to Susie during the glazing workshop. This £5 per piece up to 15cm will be made in contribution to the expenses once you know how many pieces you will be putting in the firing - this purely contributes to kiln expenses.

2). A request that you please email to check in and inform Susie regarding any additional needs you may wish to make us aware of prior to or when booking.

3). Please note that a ticketing fee is included in the price of this course which is non-refundable in any circumstances. In the event of cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the course begins no fees are refundable. In the event of Susie needing to cancel a session, an alternative date or refund for that session will be offered to you.

4). You are advised to dress for mess and bring an apron, and a water bottle.

5). Please be prepared for some fun, and also to lend a hand with cleaning, tidying and packing away the equipment at the end of each session.
