All Day

Makers Market by Pickle Pop Ups

Illustrator Molly Pickles has curated a Market of some of Thanet's finest makers! Shop local and support artists in Thanet.

Feminist Fairytales by Ruckus Theatre

Feminist Fairytales is an interactive storytelling session that gives classic tales a fresh, feminist twist—featuring strong, kind, and clever characters of all genders. Aimed at children aged 3–8, each session brings stories to life through sensory play, sound, movement, and imagination. These playful retellings gently introduce themes of empathy, fairness, and collaboration, encouraging children to think about the world in new ways. With an inclusive approach and a focus on kindness and courage, Feminist Fairytales invites young minds to experience timeless stories that reflect the values of equality and respect—making storytime meaningful, magical, and fun.

Cycle Ride & Bike Repair cafe

Join in some rides around the park, find out about repairing your bike and get baby bike seats installed for free. If you have any baby bike seats that you can donate on the day - they can be passed on to someone who needs it.

Book Shop

Ellington Park's Book Shop will be open all day for you to fond some 'novel' reads.

Ellington Park Train

The model train will be open and running all day throughout the POW family festival. Queue up in the little station to have a ride on one of the model trains. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

11.30am, 1pm, and 2.30pm: A Space to Park a Tale - Poetry Readings

A poetry performance by Ramsgate Poet Sarah Tait, blending history, narratives, and possibilities in a poetic exploration of ‘Ellington’ and its past, present, and futures.

Sarah will stand to perform in an area of the park that offers a visual and imagined perspective of this area’s development over time. Sarah’s specially-written piece is intended to only ever be performed in this specific space / location – a poetic tale ‘in-situ’, words weaving a poetic spell to bless and celebrate this lovely Ramsgate park – and those who enjoy its space - on this day of the longest light.
