Established in 2014, Camidge & Stringer explore the undergrowth of history and reveal our findings through theatre. We specialise in lesser-known individuals with interesting stories, the history makers of Cornwall, who deserve to be brought back into the light.

We bring you history as it was, using original sources such as newspaper reports, journals and letters and use our imaginations to fill in the gaps.

Rest assured that we are firmly in touch with reality and always make clear what is, and isn’t documented. But we also believe that the imagination is a valid route to the truth and it is in this spirit that we invite the audience to journey with us, through some of the best local stories that the 19th and 20th centuries have to offer.
