Description
Viv Robertson is a veteran solo performer who has also fronted a number of bands: namely Bluestalk, Din of Inequity, Donkey Work, Earth Connection and Bluestalk Revival. He was a founder member of Carrick Folk Club - the first ever folk club in Falmouth and also founded Finnegan's Folk Club in Berkshire. With a chequered career which included such jobs as art teacher, coalman, potter, yacht skipper, courier, removal man and fish salesman, he has always found time to dovetail his work as a self-taught musician performing in folk clubs pubs, restaurants and festivals in Britain, France, Spain, Gibraltar, Balearics, Canaries and Bermuda.
These days he performs mainly solo gigs and hosts a regular acoustic session at Trengilly Wartha near Constantine. His broad repertoire includes folk, blues, rock, country, bluegrass, reggae and shanties which he accompanies with 6 & 12 string guitars and harmonicas.
He is currently writing a memoir and hopes to include an album of self-penned songs taking inspiration from his nefarious past!
