This workshop will introduce you to some powerful, effective tools from different acting techniques which will boost your improvisation.

With these tools you could create wonderful, dramatic, funny, honest moments on stage and learn how to “cash” them by playing them to the full, in a believable, honest and committed way.

If you have been doing improvisation long enough and feel that now is time to sharpen your performance and acting skills- this workshop is for you, so you could bring to the stage powerfully played improvised moments.

The workshop will introduce tools such as: Objective, Obstacle, Sub-text, Mizanscena and more.

Improvisation – like any other storytelling art form – uses the element of time, and does a variety of cool things with it.

It allows us to jump from one time to another
to be in two different times simultaneously
to slow or fast-forward reality
to jump from the past to the future

This intensive workshop will take us from being totally present in the moment to time-traveling through fast, funny, epically-cinematic and theatrical scenes.

Inbal Lori

Inbal Lori is a graduate of Art High School (1994) and Nisan Nativ Acting Studio (2000). Since then she writes and acts for television and theatre and has won prizes and scholarships for both.

Inbal started improvising in 2001. In 2015, Inbal moved to Berlin and since then she has taught and performed all over the world in places like the US, Canada, Australia, Colombia, Japan, Nigeria and Europe.

As of 2025 she is the artistic director of the Berlin Impro Festival.

In a business context Inbal has worked and coached companies like Spotify, Disney, EY, Doberman, McKinsey, Rolls Royce and more. 

Playing Characters That Actually Like Each Other | Tim Orr

Learn how to play people who get along with the other characters in the scene. Is there really a need for conflict and trouble between the characters in scenes? By getting along and liking each other, a whole new world of conflict-free detail opens up.

This is a powerful and transformative approach to improv that will change your improv, for good!

Tim Orr

Tim has improvised since 1988 with many San Francisco and international groups, including BATS Improv, True Fiction Magazine, Awkward Dinner Party, and with the acclaimed troupe 3 For All. In 2009, he founded Improv Playhouse of San Francisco.

Since 2015, he has toured Europe with Inbal Lori from Berlin performing their duo show Click. Tim has also appeared in numerous plays in the San Francisco Bay Area, and received critical acclaim for his leading roles in the improvised feature films, Suckerfish and Security. With Stephen Kearin, Tim co-wrote, and originated the role of Dirk Manly in, An Evening with Dirk & Blaine. Nationally, Tim has performed and taught improvisation at the American Conservatory Theatre, BATS Improv, Stanford University, and many other venues (Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Austin, Louisville, Atlanta, etc.).

As we're bringing these fine improvisers over from other countries, we regret we cannot refund tickets once bought. We will gladly help you find another improviser to sell them to, but we can't take responsibility for actually reselling them. So please factor this policy in before you buy.
