This is Pretend Night.

Pretend Night is a whole evening of improvised theatre from The Pretend Company consisting of an improv skill raiser workshop from 6-7:30pm and a show at 8pm.

Our workshops concentrate on one skill per session and really push you to develop and grow as a performer. They are for improvisers who want to progress in the craft - we expect all students to already have experience performing and know how to sustain scene work.

• We will start at 6pm and the session will only have a brief warm-up before moving into exercises and scene work for 90 mins, no break
• We will focus on a different skill each month
• The class size will be limited to 14 people maximum

In this workshop, we will explore the fascinating world of wordless improv ! It’s gonna be so fun! 

If you fear to not be able to do it, come! This workshop is for you.
If you love when people shut up and would like to play more like that, come! This workshop is for you!
If you feel unable to use your body, come! This workshop is for you!

We gonna learn how to use our bodies, actions and emotions to be connected with our partner and create uniques scenes. We will work on observe all the wonderful informations that are already there and don’t need words ! No need to be perfect in object work, or a professional dancer, everyone can have fun on stage, playing without words !

Experience level and core skills required:

This workshop is designed for people with some experience in long-form improv and a desire to create more grounded, character-based scenes.

About Stephen

Dan loved impro instantly, when he discovered it in 2007! Since then, He had the chance to travel in all french speaking communities and later internationally, traveling to teach and/or play in more than 20 countries around the world. 

With La Carpe Haute, The Fraltons, Origami Swan (duo w/ Ella Galt) and You&Me (duo w/ Alicja Dobrowolna). Now, a new adventure begins with the rebranding and their new names Anananas & Pampamplemousse.

What he loves especially in improv is the connection between the partners, the sincerity and the playfullness, enjoying the whole spectrum of improv : from silly to dramatic or non-sens to smart.
