Welcome to the Farnham Improv Drop-in from The Pretend Company. 

All improvisers of any level are encouraged to attend - from those just starting their journey through to improv veterans looking for a place to practice. The workshop will be taught so that all experience levels will be able to play and learn together.

Drop-ins can be happily attended as stand alone sessions but this autumn there’ll also be an overarching theme of Scenes & Games for participants who come regularly.

This term’s focus is Scenes & Games

The basic building block of every improv show is the humble scene. This season we’ll be looking at doing scenes in a variety of different ways - acquiring skills that’ll help you towards better Shortform games, standalone scenes and Longform glory. The more classes you attend, the more tools you’ll have to sling into your improv toolkit … but each class will be standalone and easy to understand whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro.

About our pricing structure

We have three levels of pricing, reflecting our hope that improv can be accessable to all:

£15 Supported (for those improvisers who need a financial hand attending)
£20 Standard 
£25 Champion (for those improvisers who want to help others access the workshops)

In addition, we have a loyalty card version where you can buy six classes at any price tier and only pay for five. These cards have a 6 month validity period and help us offer drop-ins consistently by providing a measure of financial security for the teacher. Please consider using them if you can - it's a proper win-win situation for everyone involved.

Scholarships

Finally, if none of the above options work - you can contact us on hello@thepretendcompany.com to discuss another financial arrangement. This includes taking classes completely free if you genuinely can't afford them at present.
