This is a limited workshop for attendees aged 9+. Please note that there are only 9 spaces available. All participants in the workshop MUST complete a consent form in advance (link here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uTrHlrgWZcw8jJlxLdQ1LdvK0F7X1RsR/) or risk being unable to join the workshop. 

What is the workshop?

StretchSense makes smart glove technology that captures hand and finger movement in real time. We're excited to bring a hands-on demo session to Prewired!

Participants will get to try on our motion capture gloves and see the data come to life as they move their fingers - think live motion capture, gesture control, and connections to games and animations. It's a great opportunity to see hardware and software working together in practice.

Regular Prewired session

The desk area will also be set up for a regular Prewired session if you'd rather crack on with your usual projects.

If you have already booked a ticket for the regular Prewired session but would like to attend this instead, please cancel your booking there or email hello@prewired.org and we will cancel it for you.

Location

The entrance to CodeBase is on 37a Castle Terrace - come in to reception and go straight into the hotdesking space. You sign in at the Prewired registration desk.

Parents

If your child is under the age of 11, we ask that they are accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the session. If your child is very young and needs lots of support, you should be prepared to sit with them to help. You can of course ask a volunteer for technical advice.

If your child is over the age of 11, is is up to you whether you'd like to accompany them to the session.

If you do plan to attend as a parent, please book a ticket for yourself as well as your child so that we can keep track of numbers.

Cancellations

If you sign up but realise you can't make it, or if you accidentally book extra spaces for any reason, please make sure to cancel your ticket so the spot can be released to someone else!
