Dr Ahmad Nounu BDS MJDF RCS is the practice principal and clinical director of Black Swan Dental Spa. He graduated with a degree in dentistry from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2008 and has taken giant steps to enhance his skills and cement himself as one of the leading cosmetic dentists in the southwest. He is committed to providing the highest standard of care in the gentlest way possible. His interests in dentistry include whitening, implants, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Dr Nounu continuously enhances his skills through global education, contributing articles to dental publications and the national press. His impactful presence extends to lectures and committees, exemplifying leadership in the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Young Dentist Group of the South Western Branch of the British Dental Association, where he presently serves as chairman.

Ammar Al Hourani qualified from Glasgow Dental School in 2009 and became interested in Endodontics early on in his career. After several years as a Senior House Officer and General Dental Practitioner, his interest led him to embark on a three-year full-time postgraduate DDSc endodontic training programme at Liverpool Dental School in which he achieved his Membership in Endodontics specialism examination by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MEndo RCS Edin) and his Doctorate in Endodontology (DDSc). Ammar is currently an Honorary Consultant and Clinical Lecturer at Peninsula Dental School, Plymouth, supervising undergraduate endodontic teaching and teaching the postgraduates on the Endodontic MSc programme at Peninsula.

DR IAN DUNN

Ian qualified from Leeds in 1998 and went into general practice in the North West. In 2001, he was awarded the Faculty of General Dental Practice membership. In 2002, he joined the teaching staff at Liverpool Dental Hospital in the Periodontology Department, where he became the Undergraduate Teaching Lead in Periodontics and a Senior Clinical Teacher in Periodontics, a role he held for five years until leaving that position in 2018. In 2010, he completed his MSc in Periodontology, and in 2013, he was admitted to the GDC Specialist List in Periodontics. In 2023, Ian was invited to become a College of General Dentistry Fellow. Ian teaches for the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons and runs their short course in Periodontics.

In 2008, Laura left her full-time practice management role and founded Horton Consulting, which works with dentists and their teams, providing business coaching and training support. Laura is well-known for implementing the treatment coordinator role into practices across the European continent, supporting clinics in their quest to achieve their dream practice.
