Join us for a leisurely night of mending at Production Mode!

Manny Edwards, founder of the Goody Vault, will be leading a small group (10 ppl max) through the basics of mending a damaged garment. To provide context and inspiration, Manny will bring some of his favorite mended vintage pieces from the 1940s-70s for us to view.

This workshop is intended to be fun and relaxing, while teaching you the art of hand mending. Come out for an enjoyable evening while learning a new skill. Drinks (cocktails & NA options) and light snacks will be provided.

DETAILS:

-Workshop is open to all levels.

-Bring your damaged garment.

-Preferred garments for mending are pants, shirts, and jackets made of natural fibers (like cotton, linen, wool).

-No stretchy denim for best results.

-Please ensure your garment is laundered.

-Materials for repair will be provided.

-Cost is $40 per attendee. If this cost is prohibitive to you, send us a message at sales@productionmodechicago.com

-All sales are final.

Emanuel Edwards is an artist and vintage clothing proprietor based in Chicago, IL. He is the owner of The Goody Vault, a vintage clothing store that specializes in timeless garments for everyone. The Goody Vault was created with a goal to connect people with the highest quality and most unique vintage garments. One of Emanuel’s biggest goals is to encourage his clients' authenticity in the way they dress while embracing their unique style.

Production Mode was founded in 2015 as an alternative to the traditional fashion system. We are an independent, locally-owned boutique/atelier. We make most of our ready-to-wear collection in-house and offer made-to-measure and custom design services. In addition to our own work, we carry a curated selection of other independent designers, most of them based in Chicago.
