Program Overview 
The program will begin with liability updates – for all patients, for minor patients, for suicidal patients, and for working with nurse practitioners. We will then update attendees on what they need to know about the current practice of telepsychiatry. In the last section of the course, we will discuss hot topics including marijuana, psychedelics – including ketamine, and gender-affirming treatment.

After attending this live seminar, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe the basis for the different liability exposure when treating minor patients versus adult patients.
  • Apply the current requirements for telemedicine to their practice of telepsychiatry.
  • Recognize the various legal and clinical issues related to newer treatments in psychiatry such as ketamine.
