Join us for a lunch-hour webinar to discover how Project CREATE is amplifying youth voices in mental health research
With funding from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), Project CREATE launched in 2023 to support and enhance current arts-based mental health research focused on youth loneliness.
To ensure the project was shaped by the voices of young people, the Young Persons' Advisory Group (YPAG) was formed. Without YPAG, there would be no Project CREATE. CREATE set out to engage with YPAG as an integral voice in addressing some of the unmet needs in youth mental health research in arts-based practice.
In this webinar, we are sharing our insights into working with young people, balancing meeting their needs and motivations alongside that of the project.
We will be showcasing their social action campaign 'Not So Alone', which is an online community for young people to share art, thoughts and support around the experience of adolescent loneliness and mental health. Their aim with the campaign is letting other young people know that they are 'Not So Alone'.
Our speakers include:
- Prof Paul Cooke, Project CREATE Principal Investigator (University of Leeds)
- Dr Cristina Harney, Project CREATE Postdoc Research Fellow (University of Leeds)
- Danelle Lee, Project CREATE Project Manager (University of Leeds)
- Two members of our Young Persons' Advisory Group (YPAG)
The webinar is open to everyone with an interest in this topic.
