AfroFusion Community Dance – Women's Wellbeing Class

Come and join us for a fun, welcoming and energising weekly dance class at Dewsbury Road Community Hub and Library designed to get you moving, improve your wellbeing and meet other women from your local community.

Whether you've danced before or have two left feet, everyone is welcome! The sessions are suitable for beginners and are all about enjoying yourself in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Led by the fantastic Sophie from SS Dance & Wellbeing, you'll learn simple AfroFusion-inspired routines while improving your fitness, boosting your confidence and having lots of fun along the way.

What you need to know before your AfroFusion session 💃

What to bring:
Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in and trainers. Bring a water bottle too – although water is available at the Hub.

Please arrive on time:
Every session starts with an important warm-up. If you arrive late and miss the warm-up, unfortunately you won’t be able to join the session due to health and safety. Please give yourself enough time to arrive and get settled before we start.

Injuries or medical conditions:
Please have a quick chat with the dance instructor before the session starts and let her know about any injuries, medical conditions or anything else that may affect you during the class.

Children:
Unfortunately, children cannot attend or wait in the room during the session due to health and safety requirements.

£1 suggested donation:
The sessions are donation-based. You’ll find the donation tin on the table near the door. If you can donate, brilliant; if you can’t, that’s absolutely fine too – no questions asked. We don’t want cost to stop anyone from joining us.
