Kanban Community Day

Kanban Community Day, Edinburgh.

One room, one full day, forty people who want to spend it comparing notes on how work actually moves rather than watching slides.

Ten to twelve ProKanban trainers will be in that room, and they are not the speaker roster. They are the hosting layer: greeting people at the door, keeping sessions to time, and making sure whoever came on their own has someone to sit with at lunch. The remaining seats are open to anyone in the community, whatever your background or title.

How the day runs-

Five lightning talks give the room a shared reference point roughly every ninety minutes. Each one is twenty minutes: about fifteen of content, five of questions, hard stop. Between them sit four Open Space rounds of four concurrent sessions each, sixteen slots across the day. Whoever pitches a session hosts it and reports back at the closing circle. The law of two feet applies, so if a session is not for you, walk to one that is. Lunch is brought in, so nobody loses the thread wandering the city for a sandwich.

An open call for talks opens about six weeks out, and at least two of the five slots are held for community members rather than trainers. Pitch a single paragraph describing your point of view. No deck required, and no need to have it all worked out before you send it.

Reserving your seat

Forty seats is the hard limit, and the trainer contingent takes a quarter of them.
