3rd Annual AAKO

What You Need to Know Before Registering

The AAKO is an IKO World League Event and an AKLU Team USA Qualifier.

Our mission is to provide an environment that supports and celebrates exceptional performances by both elite-level athletes and beginners; a resource-rich fun, fair, inclusive competition for all.

Kettlebell Sport Rankings:

  • 5- & 10-Minute Classic Lifts → IKO Tables

  • 30-Minute One-Arm Long Cycle → AKLU Tables

  • Pentathlon → Fedorenko’s Original Rules

All Sales Final: Tickets are non-refundable, but transferable until October 1, 2025 using the official transfer form.

No Modifications After Purchase:
The flight schedule (order of events) is predetermined this year.  You will pick which event and bell weight you will be using and even which platform you will be standing on when you register.  Once you've purchased that flight ticket, your kettlebell weight and event is locked in.

To switch events, a new flight ticket is required (subject to availability).

Weigh-In Options:

  • Friday, Oct 10: 3–6 p.m.

  • Saturday, Oct 11: 8–9 a.m.

Athlete Check-In:
Saturday, 8–9 a.m. at the Kettlebell Sport booth near the Expo entrance.
Mandatory rules briefing follows.

Bring Your Own Bell?

  • Yes. Non-Pro Kettlebells must be certified at weigh-in.

  • Allowed if they are no more than 1% under stamped weight.

Awards & Placings:

Per traditional Kettlebell Sport procedure, if there are 3 lifters in the same event (16kg Men's Snatch, for example) and they are all in the same weight class, the competitor who performs the most repetitions wins.  If there are not three lifters in a weight class, we combine all weight classes and determine the winner by coefficient.

AAKO's best lifters, marathon placings, and category awards are also determined using a coefficient system; a calculation that compares your strength-to-weight ratio.

Coefficient = Total Volume lifted / Lifter's Body Weight

  • For example, "Lifter A" weighs 70kg and completes 100 repetitions of 16kg Two-Arm Long Cycle. 100 x 32 (double 16s) = 3200.  3200kgs/70kg = Coefficient score of 45.7.

  • "Lifter B" also completes 100 repetitions of 16kg TALC but weighs 68kg. The calculation is now 3200/68 and their coefficient score is 47.05.

  • The higher the coefficient score, the better. "Lifter B" wins.

Official results posted online within 7 days.

Awards will not be shipped—designate someone to pick up if you leave early.

Conduct & Safety:
Sportsmanship is required. Harassment, unsafe behavior, or rule violations = disqualification without refund.

Media Use:
By entering, you agree your image, name, and performance may be used in media or promotions.
