Awards & Placings:
Per traditional Kettlebell Sport procedure, if there are 3 lifters in the same event (16kg Men's Snatch, for example) and they are all in the same weight class, the competitor who performs the most repetitions wins. If there are not three lifters in a weight class, we combine all weight classes and determine the winner by coefficient.
AAKO's best lifters, marathon placings, and category awards are also determined using a coefficient system; a calculation that compares your strength-to-weight ratio.
Coefficient = Total Volume lifted / Lifter's Body Weight
For example, "Lifter A" weighs 70kg and completes 100 repetitions of 16kg Two-Arm Long Cycle. 100 x 32 (double 16s) = 3200. 3200kgs/70kg = Coefficient score of 45.7.
"Lifter B" also completes 100 repetitions of 16kg TALC but weighs 68kg. The calculation is now 3200/68 and their coefficient score is 47.05.
The higher the coefficient score, the better. "Lifter B" wins.
Official results posted online within 7 days.
Awards will not be shipped—designate someone to pick up if you leave early.
