PROSPECT STAIRS ART PROJECT

We are a group of local Bernal Heights and Mission neighbors interested in caring for the community and brightening our area. We put on "A Mission-Bernal Tasting," a walking food event along Cortland Avenue, to raise funds for The Good Prospect Community Art — a mosaic tile art piece for the retaining walls on Cortland at Prospect. The art piece is by Colette Crutcher (creator of the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps) and will integrate tiles created by the community. The Good Prospect Community Art is fiscally sponsored by Independent Arts & Media. Proceeds also support Mission corridor beautification, including lighting, safer crosswalks, and planters.
