Carbon Literacy Training (Snowsports focused): evening course, November 2026

This course is run by Protect Our Winters UK (POW UK). We are a registered charity that rallies the outdoor community to lead meaningful climate action.

FOUR x two-hour sessions - all running from 5.30pm to 7.30pm (UK time):

Dates: to complete the course you should attend all 4 sessions on the 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th November

The course will be delivered as a live workshop using Zoom - participants will need a computer or tablet with the ability to join online calls and view shared screens. 

General information about this Carbon Literacy Training course:

Carbon Literacy is an accredited learning programme designed to help you understand the causes and impacts of climate change, alongside practical actions that individuals, communities and organisations can take.

The training is accredited through the Carbon Literacy Project and is designed to build understanding, confidence and motivation - helping you move from curiosity to action in ways that feel achievable and meaningful.

The cost includes a £10 assessment & certification fee by the Carbon Literacy Project. VAT will be added at the totals stage. This course is running at a subsidised cost, open to any member of the community on a first-come-first-served basis. The price helps us operate as a charity.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your course booking you must inform us by hitting the 'Contact the event organiser' button or by emailing the address from which your ticket confirmation was sent.  

Refunds

Refunds will be issued as followed:

• Cancellations received 14 days or more prior to the course start date will receive a full refund.

• Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the course start date but more than 24 hours before the start will receive a £20.00 voucher to put towards another Carbon Literacy course run by POW UK.

• Cancellations received within 24 hours of the course start date will not be eligible for a refund or voucher.

If you need to cancel your course due to unforeseen circumstances we will review refund options, regardless of proximity to the start date of the course, on a case-by-case basis.

Apologies that the course cannot run in the instance of insufficient signup in which case you will receive a deferred date with the option of a refund.
