Coach Travel to the National Freemasons Service of Remembrance

To coincide with the National Freemasons Service of Remembrance at the Royal British Legion National Remembrance Gardens in Staffordshire, the Province is exploring the possibility of providing coach transport for members and their guests wishing to attend.

To make coach travel viable, we need a minimum of 20 passengers. We are therefore asking anyone who would like to travel by coach to register their interest.

If sufficient interest is received, the coach will be booked and full travel arrangements will be confirmed. The cost per person will depend on the final number travelling and will be advised before bookings are confirmed.

Please note: Registering your interest in coach travel does not book your place at the National Freemasons Service of Remembrance. You must book your attendance at the Service separately.

National Freemasons Service of Remembrance

The National Freemasons Service of Remembrance at the Royal British Legion National Remembrance Gardens in Staffordshire, hosted by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire, will take place on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Timings

11.00 am: Coffee available to purchase
12.00 noon: Service of Remembrance outside the Aspects Building
12.40 pm: Parade to the Masonic Garden
12.50 pm: Wreath-laying ceremony in the Masonic Garden
1.00 pm: Act of Remembrance in the Masonic Garden
1.20 pm onwards: Lunch served in the Aspects Building for those who have pre-booked

Attendance and Lunch

Attendance only: Free, but advance booking is required so that numbers can be confirmed.

Lunch: £26 per person. Pre-booking is essential.
