Psych Dreamers

On 20 November, Kantine am Berghain becomes a meeting point for live electronics, modular experimentation, acid, dub, noise and leftfield club music — bringing together artists connected by a shared appetite for experimentation, intensity and sounds that refuse easy categorisation.

Severine Beata opens the more atmospheric side of the programme with a live modular performance shaped by ambient textures, evolving sequences and immersive electronics. Fuga de Reón takes the modular approach into more acidic and psychedelic territory, bringing raw electronics, repetition and machine driven energy into the room.

Keympi arrive as a full live band, bringing a distinctly physical dimension to the night. Rooted in queer and feminist expression, their sound moves through dub, noise and experimental music, combining live instrumentation, distortion and heavy low frequencies with a strong DIY spirit. Their performance sits somewhere between concert, sonic experimentation and collective release — intense, uncompromising and unapologetically queer.

Later, Severine Beata joins Tasio for a B2B DJ set, shifting from live modular synthesis to the decks and opening another route through the night’s psychedelic and electronic landscape. Zoë Mc Pherson takes over with a DJ set navigating experimental electronics, bass, fractured rhythms and the adventurous edges of contemporary club music.

Guiding us through it all is Wilhelmina, our hostess for the night — introducing the artists, connecting the different moments of the programme and bringing her own light, presence and personality to the stage. More than an introduction between acts, she becomes part of the thread holding the night together.

Beyond the music, the night is about making space for queer artists, queer audiences and the wider LGBTQIA+ community, while welcoming everyone who arrives with openness, respect and curiosity. A space for different identities and forms of expression, where experimentation belongs as much on the dance floor as it does on stage.

From ambient modular explorations to psychedelic acid, queer feminist dub and noise, and late night leftfield club sounds — one room, many ways of listening, moving and connecting.
