PTSD UK Guest Webinar - Finding Your Ground: Somatic Tools for Connection and Communication

Tue 21 Jul 2026 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM BST Online, Zoom

How can trauma influence our ability to communicate and connect?

Living with trauma or PTSD can shape how we experience everyday interactions, from conversations that feel overwhelming to moments when words simply won't come. This 90-minute workshop explores the relationship between our nervous system and the way we connect with others, drawing on the Four Rs framework along with practical somatic tools to support self-regulation.

What You’ll Learn

  • How trauma can affect communication, and why that's not a personal failing.
  • Simple somatic tools you can use in the moment to help regulate your nervous system and communicate more skillfully.
  • How grounding practices can create more space before, during, and after difficult conversations.
  • What the Four Rs of Resilient Communication (Reflect, Regulate, Relate, Repair) mean in everyday life and relationships.
  • Ways to communicate your needs with more ease, and with compassion for yourself.

Who Is This Webinar For?

If you are living with trauma, this session will offer practical insights and self-care strategies. But this topic is relevant for anyone interested in understanding more about how trauma can affect communication, whether in personal or professional interactions.
