PD Sessions: Town Hall 2030: local government for the digital era
Tue 25 Jun 2024 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Old Sessions House, EC1R 0NA
Description
We are excited to kick off Town Hall 2030: local government for the digital era on Tuesday 25th June from 6.30pm - 8pm and hope you’ll be able to join us.
Town Hall 2030 is a project about local, place-based digital public infrastructure. The work aims to engage local government, civic society and place-focused practitioners in developing actionable ideas for influencing wider national policy and practice. By way of background, it takes inspiration from The Radical How by Nesta and Public Digital, bringing a critical place-based lens to the discussion, and will hone in on specific policy and delivery areas such as employment and health.
We are excited to kick start the conversation on Tuesday 25th June at Old Sessions House and we would be delighted if you were able to join us. Cate McLaurin (Director, Public Digital) will host the event and will be joined by Hamida Ali (Future Governance Forum, former leader of Croydon Council), Rachel Coldicutt (Executive Director, Careful Trouble), Dave Briggs (digital practitioner) and Owen Pritchard (Head of Cyber, Digital and Technology, Local Government Association).
Theo Blackwell and Andrew Greenway have written about the project in the MJ: read more here.
Please register for a ticket either in-person at Old Sessions House or via Zoom. For those joining us in person, the discussions will be followed by an informal drinks reception.
