What it is:
This is a day event, aiming to provide attendees with a good understanding of broader work around suicide, both in terms of raising awareness and to highlight support available to individuals and their families. An overview of training opportunities will be available, along with signposting towards resources aimed at building confidence in having conversations about suicide.
If you cannot make the entire day, please feel free to book a ticket and attend for the period of time that you can. For those who can attend over lunch and would like a light lunch provided, please book a "Lunch and General Admission" ticket.
Please note: "Lunch and General admission" tickets are time limited to allow catering arrangements to be made.
What will happen at the event:
There are a number of guest speakers attending, including representatives from Suicide Prevention Scotland, RSABI and Mike Palmer (Three Dads Walking) who will be outlining the work they're undertaking to help raise awareness of suicide and suicide prevention. There will also be a panel discussion comprising representatives from local services who will be talking about supports and services available locally. Attendees will be able to submit questions (anonymously) to the panel at the time of registration or on the day. Opportunities have also been made available to learn and to feedback on services via table top discussions.
