LocalGovCamp24 is back!
This year sees the return of the 2-day event where the 1st
day is a Makers Day where local government works on creating some project/issues during the day where outputs that can be shared with the rest of the local government community.
The 2nd day will be a LocalGovCamp day which will see a series of interactive workshops in the morning and then the traditional unconference sessions in the afternoon.
LocalGovDigital GenAI Makers Day - Weds 25th Sept
Our Makers Day will focus on how generative AI can enhance various aspects of content creation and communication by local government, from public announcements to visual media and interactive citizen engagement.
Participants will form teams to develop innovative prototypes that showcase how AI can help improve government services and community outreach.

LocalGovCamp24 Social Weds 25th Sept (Evening)
Since returning to in-person sessions post Covid, we have encouraged attendees to meet-up the night before LocalGovCamp and enjoy a few libations and a curry at different curry houses across the UK.
This year, we will return to Digbeth’s “Jewel in the Crown” aka Manzils, which played host to over 60 attendees 2 years ago. We hope attendees can join us 😊
LocalGovCamp24 – Thurs 26th Sept
This LocalGovCamp will give 150 Local Gov Digital & Service Transformation Managers the opportunity to share ideas, experiences and issues around all things “Transformation” at one of the first big #localgovdigital in-person sessions after the General Election.

LocalGovCamp is returning to its spiritual home of Birmingham and the venue for the 2 days is the STEAMhouse.
100,000+ square-feet, five-story, purpose-built STEAM complex in central Birmingham with state-of-the-art facilities, tools and workspace.
The STEAMhouse community has access to a wide range of business support services including coworking and meeting spaces, state-of-the-art production space and prototyping facilities, a digital hub connecting users with future technologies such as AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), and 5G testbeds and trials.
