You’re welcome to join the Data and AI Ethics Community on Thursday 27th February between 14:00-15:00 for a workshop run by the Alan Turing Institute on their AI Ethics and Governance in Practice programme.

Workshop details

This workshop will introduce the AI Ethics and Governance in Practice programme developed by experts of The Alan Turing Institute’s Ethics and Responsible Innovation theme. This programme provides public sector organisations with the Process-Based-Governance (PBG) Framework, a structured framework to put ethical values and practical principles into practice across the AI project lifecycle. It is an integral part of the UK’s National AI Strategy and expands on the UK Government’s official Public Sector Guidance on AI Ethics and Safety.

This one-hour session will be structured in two parts. In the first part, the research team of the AI Ethics and Governance in Practice programme will give an overview of the PBG Framework. In the second part, participants will join breakout groups to engage in a short group-based activity to explore one of the core ideas of the PBG Framework, after which each group will share insights from their activity discussions.

Upon registering you will receive a link to the AI Ethics and Governance in Practice platform, as well as a sli.do link where you can submit questions about the material before this workshop.

Meeting details

After you register, you will be sent a confirmation email which contains a link for the event, as well as a 'Add to calendar' button. The meeting will be held on Microsoft Teams and has been setup this time using a DBT (Department for Business and Trade) Teams account.
