Annual Irish Publishers Conference 2026

Publishing Horizons: Meeting the Present, Creating the Future

Join us at Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin on 13th November, 2026 for a day of insight, discussion, and connection. This year's programme turns a spotlight on independent publishing and the art of making beautiful books, while tackling the practical questions shaping the future of the trade.

Highlights of the day include a panel on bespoke publishing, exploring how independent publishers are producing distinctive, smaller print runs and art books, with Tim Groenland of the Dublin Small Press Fair as emcee. We'll also host an armchair conversation with Jonathan Creasy and Anthony Farrell, reflecting on the independent publishing life.

On the essentials facing every publisher, Samantha Holman of ICLA returns to speak on copyright and the evolving legal landscape, while NielsenIQ BookData presents the latest picture of the Irish market drawn from BookData. Further sessions will look at metadata standards, distribution and other developments reshaping how publishers work, with additional speakers and panels to be announced in the coming weeks.

Alongside the main programme, delegates can visit our Exhibitors' Area to meet our sponsors and browse the work on show. Please take a moment to enjoy tea or coffee, join us for a networking lunch, and connect with others at our closing Drinks Reception. Whether you're an independent press, an academic publisher, or an emerging voice, this is a chance to relax, recharge, and look ahead to the year to come.
