Date: Monday 26 and Thursday 29 April 2021
Time: 10 am to 12 pm (noon) each day

Publishing Scotland's regular tutor Denise Cowle will deliver this course over two days, with a total of 4 hours of online time, including short exercises for people to do on their own. 

The online delivery platform is Zoom.

About the course
This is a new course, aimed at proofreaders who want to fully understand the tools available to them in Adobe Acrobat DC (free version).

Discussion includes:

  • the principles of PDF markup
  • understanding the Adobe Reader DC interface
  • using and customising the available tools
  • best practice in markup
  • tips ands tricks for efficient working

Who should attend
Proofreaders who would like to improve their mark-up technique and make the most of the tools available to them in Adobe Reader DC.

PLEASE NOTE: this course does not teach proofreading skills. Please see Introduction to Proofreading if that is what you require.


Tutor
Denise Cowle is an experienced non-fiction copyeditor and proofreader. She trained in copyediting and proofreading with Publishing Scotland and is an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.

The fee for Publishing Scotland and CIEP members is £100+VAT (£120 including VAT)
The fee for non-members is £135+VAT (£162 including VAT).
