Description

2021 sees Estelle Maskame celebrate ten years as a writer, having started writing at the age of 13, publishing her Did I Mention I Love You? young adult trilogy on the online story platform Wattpad. By 17, she had signed her first book deal to bring the story of teens Eden Munro and Tyler Bruce to the wider world, and has gone on to become an international bestseller - her work published and translated across the world - while publishing more YA smashes including Dare To Fall and Just Don’t Mention It.

She joins radio presenter Edi Stark to discuss her career to date, and upcoming book Becoming Mila, the first in her new trilogy following Mila, an ordinary sixteen year old LA girl – except she happens to have an A-list actor dad. Media spotlight is intense, and when her antics make headlines, she’s shipped off to small-town Tennessee to cool off.

Join the Scottish Books Long Weekend as we look back on ten years with Estelle, and towards the next ten.

Tickets are FREE.

All events in The Scottish Books Long Weekend will be recorded and will be uploaded to the Publishing Scotland YouTube channel with closed captions on Tuesday 15 June.
