Description
Talking Politics with Malcolm Combe, Annie Tindley, Stephen Gethins and Angie Zelter / Chaired by Ruth Wishart
We’re living in a time of flux and with great uncertainty over the future. As we gradually emerge from our year of lockdown, and navigate the new landscape of a post-Brexit UK, we also see new drives towards a second independence referendum. It seems a fair time to wonder: what next for Scotland?
This Scottish Books Long Weekend panel brings together expertise in land reform, international politics, and activism on nuclear power, sustainability and other green issues to assess the future of Scotland’s policies at home, and their place in the international community. Join Malcolm Combe and Annie Tindley (Land Reform in Scotland: History Law and Policy), Stephen Gethins (Nation to Nation: Scotland’s Place in the World), Angie Zelter (Activism for Life) and chair Ruth Wishart as they explore the possibilities in Scotland’s politics for now and the years ahead.
Tickets are FREE.
All events in The Scottish Books Long Weekend will be recorded and will be uploaded to the Publishing Scotland YouTube channel with closed captions on Tuesday 15 June.
