Learning Through Lockdown: The Impact of Coronavirus on Education in Scotland / Chair: John Mitchell
Sat 12 Jun 2021 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM BST
Online, YouTube
Description
Living through a pandemic has had a deep impact on schools, teachers, pupils and parents across the country. With schools shut, getting used to online teaching, and exam confusion, it’s no wonder we’re all a bit battered and bamboozled. As we move towards normality once again, what are the options out there for youngsters and those helping with study? How do we catch up on what we’ve missed?
Join our panel of experts to discuss the impact on the pandemic on education in Scotland, negotiating the challenges but also the ways to manage motivation for the future. Beyond the practicalities for learning, the event will also explore the vital topic of mental health and the importance of fostering positive mental wellbeing, especially in such formative years.
Tickets are FREE.
All events in The Scottish Books Long Weekend will be recorded and will be uploaded to the Publishing Scotland YouTube channel with closed captions on Tuesday 15 June.
