Come and experience the first ever performances of Nell! The Musical

Performed in the stunning setting of the grounds of Charlton House, Charlton Mackrell, the event will combine a long-held ambition to stage Nell! The Musical with the 300-year anniversary of Charlton House.

Nell! The Musical is the true(ish) story of the extraordinary Nell Gwyn, famed orange-seller, comedic actress, and mistress to King Charles II. It celebrates one of theatre's earliest female stars, a symbol of courage, wit and ambition in a male-dominated era. The story takes us from Nell's early years in the bawdy house to her time as the 'favourite mistress' to the King.

Parking is available nearby, around 450 metres away (see map). Once in the grounds there is a short walk to the performance area. Limited disabled parking is available if pre-booked - please contact info@nellthemusical.co.uk.

There are no disabled WC facilities, but there is a level access WC available (see site stewards).

Please bring blankets, cushions and low-backed chairs (unless you are booking a seated ticket, when you may still wish to bring a blanket to keep out the chill!)
We welcome picnics, but please buy drinks from our bar, as profits will go to support our local community. You can also order picnic boxes and drinks in advance to save carrying! See the add-on products once you have chosen your ticket.
Gates/car parks open at 5.30pm

PLEASE NOTE:
This is an outdoor event and will go ahead whatever the weather. There will be no refunds issued.

• The bar will be stocking wine, beer, cider, Prosecco and soft drinks.
• Picnic boxes will contain a selection of cheese and cold meat/vegetarian option and accompaniments.
• Hoodies are for sale without a ticket - click on the Merchandise tab at the top of the screen. If you would like your hoodie before the event, please choose the P&P option as well.
