Description
General
The Friendship Trial is the 5th PST event in the season and the 3rd NMA event. No little wheels at this event. It will be held at the F40 location. This is private property that is available to PST thanks to Will Giese. This will be the 3rd time for a PST trial to be held at this venue. The property offers great slopes and many interesting obstacles. This will be a cross-check event with the marshal deciding on which group AM or PM starts during the morning time. !!! Important information in directions about road closure.
Trial Event
Registration
- online only
- registration (without penalty) will close 2 days before the event (July 18 at 6PM).
- late registration (after July 18 6PM) costs extra ($10 added to normal registration fee)
- register for an appropriate class for your skill level.
- if you are not sure what skill level you are contact a club officer to discuss
- The classes in increasing order of difficulty are:
- AM classes Novice and Vintage, Amateur, and Intermediate
- PM classes Clubman, Advanced, Expert Support, and Expert
- The Sportsman class allows a rider to ride any class within a section
- Rider ticket type is for all classes
- use your code for season pass holders
- spectators must register (no fee)
- We will be offering entry fee refunds up to the morning of the event. Contact signup.pst@gmail.com as we do not offer refunds for no shows.
Description
- NO Little Wheels at this event
- Only persons registered for the event may attend.
- Spectators are allowed but must register.
- Places for all riders at event
- Points for Season Standing are only awarded to current PST members (membership purchase link)
- 3 loops
- 10 sections per loop
- separate AM and PM sections
- Cross-check AM and PM riders will need to be present for the morning start time
- Note: It is at the marshals discretion on which group AM or PM starts in the morning.
- All riders will be assigned sections to check. If you are new to trials you will be paired with a more seasoned rider.
- You will be responsible for tearing down the section that you observe.
- Loop cards will be used. You will need to pickup a new card each loop.
- Riders must start their 2nd and 3rd loop on section 1.
Schedule
- 9:30am Rider and observers meeting
- 10:00am Riders for the morning out on course (2.5 hours for first 2 loops)
- 12:30pm Last time for morning riders to pickup 3rd loop card
- 12:30pm Sweep rider out
- 1:30pm Riders meeting for afternoon (note: this time may be moved up look for a message on the marshals table)
- 2:00pm Riders for the afternoon out on course (2.5 hours for first 2 loops)
- 4:30pm Last time for afternoon riders to pickup 3rd loop card
- 4:30pm Sweep rider out
- 5:30pm awards ceremony
Safety
- IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL FOR ANY REASON, PLEASE STAY HOME!
- Like most fun things in life you can get hurt riding motorcycles, even at low speed.
- PST strongly recommends participant have personal medical insurance coverage.
- Use proper equipment and have that equipment in proper operation

- trials bike (vintage class requires an air cooled and drum brake equipped motorcycle)

- suitable helmet (must be worn anytime you are riding your bike)

Property
- This is private property and not open to public riding. PST is fortunate to have it available for club events.
- Dry camping Friday and Saturday nights available

Directions
- !!!!! There will be a bridge closure on 101 this weekend with a detour in place down Highway 112. Signs will encourage you to take this detour which is about 1.5 miles before the entrance to F40. Stay on 101 and do not take the detour, the property entrance is beyond the detour but before the bridge closure.
- Location is approx 10 minutes west of Port Angeles on Hwy 101. Access via dirt road here: 48.079719,-123.562803https://maps.app.goo.gl/vVhYutg8dEUzBWnt6 which is 1.6 miles west of the Hwy 101/112 intersection.
- The road angles up to your left immediately after a sign that says "No Passing Next 1 Mile". Note that you'll be crossing two lanes of eastbound traffic.
- Stay between the OlyMoto signs at the two intersections you'll encounter.
