TICKET PRICES

Our aim is to make this event as affordable as possible, while also incurring expenses to put on an incredible, holistic event in California that pays the artists and organizers their requested, fair rate.

The baseline cost per person is $375 and some tickets are set at that price.

We are offering some tickets at a discount to reach for those who need the financial assistance in order to attend and/or for marginalized peoples (such as BIPOC or LGTBQIA+) who have systemic barriers to accumulating finances.

And, some tickets are set at a price above our the baseline costs in order for those with more financial ease to create access for others.

Tier 1 [$325] if you're in financial grind and/or have a marginalized identity, such as BIPOC or LGTBQIA+
Tier 2 [$375] if you're in financial hustle - (covers event costs)
Tier 3 [$425] if you're in financial flow
- (supports access for others)
Tier 4 [$475] if you're in financial ease - (pays organizers, teachers, and artists more than a baseline rate)

Please buy the ticket that reflects your financial context, as each ticket tier is limited in number
(and will sell out).

Ticket price includes everything listed above, including meals (more info below).

ADDITIONAL PARTICIPATION

Everyone attending is asked to contribute a minimum of 1-2 hours of time during the course of this weekend to help the container itself flow well.
This can include the recognizable, common and very needed community-supporting tasks, such as meal prep, doing dishes, etc.

And, it could possibly include you offering your best talents for the community.
Do you play music?... Have training in emotional support?... Teach yoga or massage?

What do you do so well and can share with everyone? (We want to know this about you, anyhow!)
....please note: not all offers will be a fit for the weekend, just to set accurate expectations.

After registering, we will eventually follow up by email and ask everyone to fill out a Google form to put in their volunteer offering requests. The form will also include your dietary restrictions and eating preferences (more below).

Tent camping, car/van camping and indoor beds are available on a first-come, first-served basis (unless specifically arranged in advance). Unfortunately, for the moment, RVs and converted buses are not possible to bring - please email if you have a question about a sleeping vehicle's size. There are no personal, indoor accommodations are available on site. Indoor accommodations are communal; either in beds on the open, 2nd floor of the dance room, or in bunk bed rooms within the same building. If you want to sleep in a bed and have concerns around sleeping arrangements, please email ericboydspiegel [at] gmail.

The main building has a beautiful dance floor inside, and outside has a slew of spa amenities, including: a watsu pool, 10 person hot tub, giant steam sauna for 30+ people, cold plunge, and more.

MUSIC

Accompanying Pulse and Cocréa hosts providing music, we will have guest DJ/musicians to excite and inspire the dance floor.
But that's still an unfolding mystery for now - TBA!

TICKET TRANSFER AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Ticket exchanges to someone else are preferred to refunds, can happen at any point, and require specific actions to get the new person integrated into the container.

Ticket transfer process:
-original buyer - needs to forward their confirmation email to the new person.
-new ticket buyer - needs to email rebecca.e.berman [at] gmail to notify us of the transaction, and then they will need to fill out the google registration form for themselves so that we have all of their necessary info in order to participate well.

Ticket refunds:
-100% refund until 12am on April 1st
-50% refund until 12am on May 1st
-no refund after May 1st

Why do we have this policy?
Because our ticket prices are set to cover our costs, as well as to pay us as organizers for the immense energy to hold this event. By having this cancellation policy, we are sharing the financial risk with you in case you can't come and no one else takes your place (especially since it may be close to the actual event) - and you are empowered to help the container be successful and wonderful for everyone by helping find someone to replace your participation, and do so seamlessly for the whole group.

BRINGING YOUR LITTLE LOVED ONES

While we have hopes that this event could be family friendly, that adds an order of complexity that we don't feel able to take on in this first year event, so this we are not curating this event to accommodate folx under 18 years old. If you want to have a conversation about this, please reach for Elliot at elliotkatz6 [at] gmail.

Also, no pets, please.

COVID STUFF

This weekend event will not have any Covid-specific requirements for all participants, while we invite participants to take whatever precautions they would like for themselves. We take it to heart that this makes our event inaccessible to those who feel a need for requirements of everyone in order to feel safe to attend, and we'll miss you.

Please stay home if you are feeling unwell the day of or day before the event with symptoms that can seem like they could be communicable.

SOME BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS AND FACILITATORS...

WHAT IS COCRÉA?

Cocréa is as much a path of personal development as it is a training ground to become a better dancer. Cocréa embraces form and structure that supports the flowering of powerful presence and intimacy with one another, using the architecture of the body and awareness to create space for freedom and play. We will focus on the FUNdamentals of Mindful Partner Dance and explore the Slow, Saucy and Sacred elements of moving together into bliss. The container will be trauma sensitive and consent informed, to support and guide you in a beautiful practice of embodied listening - both with the self and others.

As Cocréa’s roots are in Fusion and American vernacular dance (Swing, Blues, Charleston and Hip-Hop primarily), the opportunity is ripe for the inclusion and honoring of other dance styles, forms and aesthetics, and the emergence of altogether new ones including the formless to inform the dance. Typically in the landscapes of Sacred Other and Community, practitioners remain standing while within Self, Earth, Music and Whole, there is an invitation to find expressions that explore other levels down to the ground, architecture of the space and stillness in any form.

There is no fixed aesthetic. The dance flourishes when there is clarity of invitation, elasticity in the connection, and a vividness of presence detached from outcome or agenda that we commonly refer to as “juicy”.

Wren LaFeet: Co-Founder, Director and Lead Facilitator

Wren is celebrating his 24th year dancing in partnership and loves serving humanity as a somatic permissionary. Teaching partner dance internationally as a practice for mindful, authentic living, and enlivening communities by facilitating his signature modality, Cocréa, is his joyful service now for over a decade. Using this potent synthesis, Wren provides navigational assistance to humans nurturing a curiosity in gaining more access to the power and potential of their bodies.
