noise night quietly presents Time DeBeauchamp & [_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _]
Performing Tape B & Baggage 2

[----------]'s "tape b" is an investigation into the tensions that hold together poetic language: interiority, observation, improvisation, composition, presence, absence, and silence. These threads are pitted against each other while simultaneously presenting themselves together as a whole-cloth poetic experience, if a little destijl in arrangement.

"Baggage 2" is a second attempt at crossing the midnight deserts of absence and loss (of a father, absentee, alcoholic and estranged). One might ask how to get to, i.e. recover, the past? With a bag of objects from a dead man's room, lovingly unboxed and digitally processed (looping, schizzing, and time manipulations by s.l.t.)

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

[----------] makes poems, art objects, performances, readings, books and the like. For the last couple years he has worked in a surgery- adjacent laboratory turning human tissue into colorful pictograms, very occult and ethically suspicious but presumably for a good cause.

Tom DeBeauchamp is a writer in Portland, Oregon.
