Andy Campbell (Qawah Coaching) hosts these free regular drop-in sessions. This is a chance to learn a little what safeguarding is, and how it might impact and assist you personally and professionally.
Andy has many years experience of working in the youth and education sectors, and is a trainer of accredited courses in Safeguarding (see here for more information on the courses available).
Topics discussed in previous sessions* have included:
Why might I need to think about Safeguarding?
How do I find out which training I should do?
What might I be taking for granted?
How do I report any concerns I might have, and to whom?
(* we are always happy to revisit any of these if that would help you!)
Spaces are limited - and must be booked at least 30 minutes ahead of commencement.
There is no charge to attend, although a contribution towards the work of Qawah Coaching is always welcome. (Any donations will help subsidise coaching and training for those who might otherwise struggle to access these).
What others have said about this drop-in:
It was encouraging to find out how much I didn't know I knew! - Aziz
I've often found this confusing, so it was good to clear some things up - Ed
I was asked by my church to write a safeguarding policy, and Andy helped me think about where to start and what I might be missing - Davina
