What exactly is this course?
- This is a refresher course in First Aid for Mental Health, drawing from subjects covered in each of the courses taught by Qawah Coaching.
Unlike the other courses, this is not a formal qualification. Subject content will vary on the expressed needs of those who have signed up, but will only revisit or update course material from the accredited courses.
This refresher will not requalify you as a First Aider for Mental Health - to do so you will need to attend one of the full accredited courses.
Upon completion of the course, you will be issued with a certificate of attendance, which can be used as evidence of CPD, etc
The course is taken online (using zoom).
Who is this course for?
- Anyone who has previously attended one of the FAA accredited courses covering First Aid for Mental Health. Those who have attended other training events in the subject (for example those run by Mental Health England) will also find the material beneficial as there is no significant variance in content.
** Please note you must be over 14 to participate in this course **
How much does the course cost?
- The standard cost fees are £50 per person
- Discounts are available for those working in the education, charity and voluntary sectors - please contact Qawah Coaching for more details and a code **.
- Discounts are also available when more than one person from an organisation books onto the same course - please select Buy Tickets to see what is available.
The course cost includes all teaching input, admin support, certificate costs and all materials - including a comprehensive booklet.
Qawah Coaching also includes on-going support as part of our commitment to you.
What is the course content?
By the end of the course, you will have revisited:
- What first aid for mental Health is
- How to identify mental health conditions
- How to provide advice and start a helpful conversation
- What stress is, and how it informs our mental health
- What the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan is
- Wellbeing tips for yourself and others
- Please contact the event organiser with any specific questions you have or areas you want to revisit
Unless stated otherwise in communication post-booking, the session will run from 2pm to 4pm.
Please note that booking for paid courses closes 36 hours before course commencement - to allow for the necessary admin.
Please contact me if you are unable to find a date that works for you, want to know more about any of the courses, have a query about discounts, or need anything else
