Virtual Lighting Talks Seattle January 2025

Join Queer Scouts Seattle online for an afternoon of virtual lighting talks. This is the opportunity you have been waiting for to tell a captive audience all about your favorite thing. Have a special interest? This is the perfect opportunity to infodump. Miss creating epic PowerPoint slides for school presentations? This is your chance. Know an awesome life skill? Here is your excuse to educate us all. Want to tell us how awesome your partner/best friend/pet is? We want to know! Each talk will last approximately 5 minutes and may be on any topic that brings you joy. Don't want to speak? No problem! Come watch the fun and help us spread our queer joy in the world.

ATTENTION: We will be recording this event so that Scouts who can not make it can still experience the joy later. 

Please note: Queer Scouts is a substance-free group. Please do not drink alcohol, smoke, or otherwise partake during this event.

CANCELLATIONS:

You may cancel your ticket and receive a refund up to one hour before the event. We will keep all transaction fees and any remaining funds you paid will be returned to the original payment method. There is no shame for a last minute cancellation, but we sometimes have waitlists and cancelling tickets allows us to free up spots for others.

ACCESSIBILITY TRANSPARENCY:

Physical & Sensory: 

This event uses Zoom which utilizes video and audio. No one is required to use their camera and/or mic. We keep track of the chat and make sure to include the chat in our general discussion. Subtitles can be used upon request.

Immune System Safety: 

This event is completely virtual and there will be no in-person contact.  

Financial:

This event is free for all attendees. It does require a stable internet connection and access to a Zoom capable device.
