Join Queer Scouts Seattle for an in-person, masked, outdoor Crow Exchange social event at Green Lake. We will be meeting at West Green Lake Beach to exchange small trinkets (ex. stickers, beads, pretty rocks, origami, etc) with other Scouts during a low-key social hang-out. We will be meeting in the grass off the path, near the Seattle Public Theater & restrooms. Look for the flags & pinwheels.

Please note: Queer Scouts is a substance-free group. Please do not drink alcohol, smoke, or otherwise partake during this event.

CANCELLATIONS:

If you are unable to come, please cancel your ticket or email lauren@queerscouting.com. You may cancel your own ticket and receive a refund up to one hour before the event. We will keep all transaction fees and any remaining funds you paid will be returned to the original payment method. There is no shame for a last minute cancellation, but we sometimes have waitlists and cancelling tickets allows us to free up spots for others.

ACCESSIBILITY TRANSPARENCY:

Physical:

There is a wide, paved path from the parking lot at West Green Lake Beach to the walking/biking path that runs around the lake. We will be meeting in the grass off the path, near the Seattle Public Theater & restrooms.

Sensory:

This event will be outdoors at a popular park. Please check the weather forecast if you are and be prepared with sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, jackets, umbrellas, etc. as appropriate. There are usually people of all ages walking, running, and biking along the path in the area. Many people also bring their dogs along the path.

As wildfire smoke has become a regular occurrence during PNW summers and autumns, we will be monitoring the AQI in the days approaching the event. If the AQI exceeds 150 (red/unhealthy) we may cancel or reschedule this event.

Immune System Safety:

Queer Scouts understands that the Covid-19 vaccine is not currently accessible to everyone. The Washington State Department of Health has issued a standing order to allow healthcare providers and pharmacists in WA to administer Covid vaccines to anyone age 6mo+. The vaccine is covered by WA Apple Health Medicaid and many other insurance plans. Queer Scouts recognizes that some insurance plans may not cover the vaccine at this time, which has led to inequal access. We are temporarily removing the requirement for vaccination at our in-person events. If you are physically and financially able to be vaccinated, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE getting an updated dose of the 2025-26 Covid vaccine.

Plan to be masked with an n95/kn95+ at all times; if you need to drink or eat something, please step away from the group or use a drinking valve mask. While all members of our group will be masked, please note that there are likely to be other unmasked folks nearby in the park.

We have 20 tickets for Scouts and Leadership.

Financial:

This event is FREE for all attendees. If you'd like to make a donation, follow the directions later in the ticket process. Feel free to donate as little or as much as you are able. Donations support us in continuing to make Queer Scouts programming available & accessible to everyqueer.

Transit:

Parking: Parking at West Green Lake Beach, where we will be starting, is free, but limited as this is a busy park. There are five accessible parking spots in this lot. Additional free street parking is available in the nearby neighborhood.

Buses: The Metro E Line is the closest route to West Green Lake Beach.

Biking: While there are not bike racks in this area, the location is very accessible to bikers.

Bathroom:

There are gendered, multi-stall bathrooms at West Green Lake Beach, where we will be starting. This bathroom does have an accessible stalls but the there are no auto door openers. Also, the lights in at least the women's side are not working so it is dim inside.
