The trods of Therunin are a thoroughfare of the Empire, holding host to a variety of people and nations upon its winding forest trails every day. It just so happens that on one of these days that Imperial notables find themselves staying at the same Way House on their journeys about the Empire.

Whilst the Vallorn slumbers at this moment within the Greenheart, an ever more insidious foe lurks among the Eastring. Guerilla forces of an unknown source are providing lasting problem for the Stridings and Steadings who maintain the Trods in the region.

An Empire LARP social and combat player event, set in 200 acres of woodland in the Cotswolds. The event will be a mix of social interactions and skirmish combat set in a way house grounds in Therunin.

Expect plot, skirmishes, tournaments and time with old friends and new.

This is event is fully self-catered.

Combat and non-combat players as well as all nations are welcome - all walks of life travel the trods after all!

The Site

Nearest Train Station: Moreton-in-Marsh (10 min taxi away)

• The campsite has IC and OC camping areas
• The site has a mixture of portaloos and compost toilets, along with a couple of showers.
• The site does not have any refuse facilities - please take your rubbish home.
• Firepits will be available for hire for £25 for the event, firepits are welcome but must be off the ground. 
• Bags of firewood are available for sale on the site for £6 a bag. 

Please Note: The site is a site of scientific interest (SSSi) and a working woodland, the ground (both within the woodlands and the campsite area) is uneven - please keep this in mind if you have mobility issues.

Cabins

There are three cabins available for those who do not what to camp:

Small Avalon Cabin, per night. Sleeps 2. Two Single beds.

Medium Avalon Cabin, per night. Sleeps 2-3. (Ticket price is for 2 people - £20 Supplement for a 3rd person per night)

The Avalon Cabin's have a private kitchen equipped with basic cooking equipment, a fridge and a double stove. There is also a decked area with seating and a firepit.

Woodmans Cabin, per night, sleeps 2-6. 1 Double bed, 1 Double mattress, 2 Single beds. (Ticket price is for 2 people - £20 supplement per person per night for up to 4 extra guests)

Woodmans cabin comes with its own private outdoor kitchen equipped with basic cooking equipment and a double stove. There is a wooded seating area, wash basin and fire pit.

All of the Cabins bedding and blankets are provided but please bring your own towels and bath mats

Car Parking

The site has limited parking - to keep parking manageable the site will charge £5 for car for the entire event. 

Please purchase your parking pass when purchasing your ticket.

The car park is 300m from the main camping field, wheelbarrows will be provided to help move kit from the parking area however no cars are allowed on the camping fields.

COVID-19

There will be no strict social distancing or face mask rules at the event, however the site will have hand wash stations and hand sanitisers. 

Players will be asked to complete a lateral flow test 2 day before arrival - and only come with a negative result. 

If you have any symptom please do not attend.

We reserve the right to refuse entry if they feel the attendee is a covid-19 risk

We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the policy if necessary to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time.

In event you are unable to attend due to Covid-19, we will endeavour to process refunds.

Is the event sanctioned?

Yes! 

How much combat will be at the event?

There will be skirmish opportunities, however the core camping area will be combat free. This is not a high combat event.

How difficult is the terrain?

The site is a nature reserve, wild camping site and working wood. The paths/roads are uneven mud or gravel.

Is tent hire available?

Sadly we are unable to offer tent hire 

Can I bring my own fire pit?

Yes, please make sure that they are 8 inches (20cm) it off the ground.

I've missed out on a parking pass, where can I park?

There are car parks in Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Norton which are not too far away.

Is catering provided?

We're working hard to secure a catering partner, however the event is currently a fully self-catered event. Please bring your own food. We'll let you know if the situation changes.
