FIGURE DRAWING: CONDUCT POLICY

This is a queer, inclusive figure-drawing workshop & event. We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, sexualized behavior, or boundary violations.

• Nips & bits stay covered — all genders, all the time.

• Respect models and fellow artists at all times. No touching, innapropriate comments, harassment, or bad behavior.

• No photos of models. Draw, don’t snap.

• Don’t post drawings on social media without the model’s explicit permission.

• Respect model boundaries and organizer instructions at all times.

• Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in immediate removal from the event.

Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and fun space for everyone. Keep it respectful. Keep it queer.

BIOGRAPHIES

ORGANIZER (CREATRIX) AND MODEL:

Celia Lucci (she / they)

Has worked professionally as a life drawing model for a few of the colleges in the region, including Westfield State and Amherst College. As a transfer student at Hampshire College, she concentrated in movement, visual art, and business. She has immersed herself in event coordination, creation, and collaboration since birth (circa 1998), including (but not limited to) hosting community healing arts events, serving on Quonk's creative leadership team, and maintaining lifelong creative art and dance practices. Their personal philosophy is that “art-making” should never be gatekept. Anyone can access creativity, and want to build a world where there are communal platforms where creativity can flourish!

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR:

Ezra Wilde (they / them)

is a queer and trans locally based illustrator and art educator. Their teaching practice centers the idea that anyone who wants to can learn to draw given the fundamental building blocks, knowledge, and practice just like learning an instrument or any other skillset.

Ezra graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2016 with a Masters of art in teaching, and has taught drawing and painting to all ages and skill levels.

They are a practicing artist and often vend their art locally at various art markets and festivals.

They also have a solo gallery show opening at the Leverett public library in September featuring paintings inspired by their experience falling in love with living in The Valley.

MODELS

Debris (He/Him/His) (otherwise known as Johnny Credit or Johnson Grotesque)

is an ecdysiast, humorist, first-time figure drawing model, impresario, and lothario currently based at about ninety meters above sea level. He appears here in the hopes of great fortune and despite the risk of great fame. Much of his work is inspired by either goodwill for all humankind or Red Moscato, though he is open to combining the two. He will next be performing at Luminaria: An Autumn Equinox Revue at the Last Ditch in Greenfield on September 24.
