Traditional Music Workshop and Concert with Rachel and Holli

Join Rachel and Holli for an afternoon of traditional music tuition at Seil Community Hall.

The duo will be offering two workshops:

WORKSHOP 1 - FIDDLE

Led by Holli Scott, this class will focus on fiddle technique, breaking down a tune (provided in advance) to look at variations in melody, bowing and ornamentation specific to the fiddle.

WORKSHOP 2 - ACCOMPANIMENT AND ARRANGEMENT

Led by Rachel Campbell, this class is suitable for all other instruments, and will cover traditional music arrangement, from chordal progressions to harmony and structure.

The two workshop classes will come together at the end of the afternoon to share what they have learned. There will also be the opportunity for the classes to perform their piece at the evening concert.

Tickets are priced at £30, which includes entry to the evening concert.
