An Extended Weekend of Iyengar Yoga in the Devon Countryside

Join Rachel Lovegrove and Hannah Lovegrove for a special long weekend of Iyengar Yoga at Middle Coombe Farm, a beautiful 16th-century estate set within 400 acres of peaceful Devon countryside. With small group numbers and a relaxed rhythm to the days, this retreat offers the opportunity to step away from daily demands and immerse yourself in practice, nature and quiet reflection.

Across the four days we will explore six asana sessions and two early morning pranayama practices, alongside time to walk the land, rest and enjoy nourishing meals together. Guests are also welcome to make use of the heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub — perfect for unwinding after practice or simply enjoying the stillness of the surrounding countryside.

Whether you come alone or with a friend, the retreat is designed to create a warm and supportive atmosphere for students of Iyengar Yoga to deepen their practice in a beautiful and welcoming setting.

Room Listings and Prices:

The farmhouse has a traditional layout with a couple of charming character rooms connected to others. Hannah and Rachel will be staying in one of these rooms themselves (Room 6), and guests booking them enjoy a slightly lower retreat price. We recommend watching the short video tour of the accommodation layout before selecting your room so you can choose the option that suits you best.

Farmhouse Bedrooms

All six farmhouse bedrooms are upstairs. Two have en-suite bathrooms. The remaining four share a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, plus there is an additional separate toilet.

Bedroom 1 – The Brass Bedroom

A spacious en-suite room with a kingsize brass bed. This room enjoys lovely morning light and beautiful country views when lying in bed.

Bedroom 2 – The Oak Room

£675 Single | £610 Shared

This room can be arranged as a double or twin. It has a vanity basin, with the main bathroom just a couple of steps across the landing.

Bedroom 3 – The Family Room ***

£610 Shared (no single occupancy)

A walk-through room with two single beds and one double bed. It will be let to a maximum of two people. Bedrooms 4, 5 and 6 are accessed beyond this room.

Bedroom 4 – The Snug ***

£560 Single

Accessed via Room 3, this cosy bedroom sits above the porch and sleeps one.

Bedroom 5 – The Master Bedroom ***

Also accessed via Room 3, this is the largest bedroom in the house, featuring a super-king four-poster bed. Room 6 lies just beyond it.

*** These three rooms are best booked with some friends as they are "walk-through" rooms and share the bathroom on the landing with the Oak Room - please see the video to get an idea of their layout (but they are gorgeous).

BEDROOM 7 – THE GREEN ROOM

A small downstairs room with a queen-size bed overlooking the garden, with its own en-suite bathroom and walk-in shower.

Allensdown Barn

Allensdown Barn is a two-storey converted stone barn. Downstairs is a large kitchen-diner, a sunny living room and Bedroom 10. Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms which share a large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.

Bedroom 10 – The Gardener’s Room (En-suite)

A small double or large single bed with its own bathroom. Located on the ground floor of the barn.

Bedroom 9 – The Rafters

A spacious room with one double bed and one single bed, ideal for sharing with a friend. Shares a bathroom with Room 8.

Bedroom 8 – The Indian Beam Tree Room

A spacious room with one double bed and one single bed, sharing a bathroom with Room 9.
