On the northeastern highways between home and someplace new lives the music of Hello Shark. Beginning in Vermont in 2006, Hello Shark is the recording project of songwriter Lincoln Halloran. With the lyrical clarity of David Berman and soft-spoken delivery behind Phil Elverum, Hello Shark has been an influential presence on the east coast indie scene for over a decade. The band has featured a cast of different musicians, currently Garrett Linck on bass, and long-time drummer Alex Decato. Hello Shark's music is characterized most by its honest and melancholic nature of Halloran's writing, often skirting the boundaries between hope and regret, love and heartbreak. After an 8-year break from releasing new material, Hello Shark returns with "You Were Right," the second track on their yet-to-be-announced 6 song EP, and a 10-year Anniversary tour for their record "HS

"The band is the primary medium for the warm, quirky, and thoughtful original songs of Ben Schnier. These compositions are brought to life by a band of friends that has changed greatly over the years, featuring many familiar faces in the Burlington music scene. The current lineup features Drew, Danny, Castle, and Joey, in a rotating arrangement of instruments.
