Bird Week is an indie rock band from Kingston NY built around the songwriting of lead singer Justin Hatch. Originally beginning as a solo project during the COVID pandemic, Bird Week morphed into a collective unit upon the members’ return to college. Their sound extends from simple, lo-fi pop songs to sprawling progressive arrangements, covering ground from noisy post-punk to heartfelt indie folk. Binding it together is a strong sense of melody and emotional honesty reminiscent of bands such as Pavement or Car Seat Headrest. They are currently touring in support of their upcoming third album, with the lead single “Foxtrot” out now.
