My Son The Doctor began prescribing their swaggering punk sound to the Brooklyn in 2019, playing almost exclusively to the irony-poisoned crowd that dominates Brooklyn and Bushwick DIY spaces. 

Finding their stride through off-kilter and playfully destructive live shows, the four-piece dropped their Sophomore extended play Taste Those Dreams during the Fall of 2021, a short and sweet release of six tracks that clocked in at just over 18 minutes.

Self-described as ‘like Spoon, but younger and hotter,’ the pent up Bushwick band has expanded upon their irreverent stream-of-conscious lyricism and tightly wound guitar performance on MESH. Called “spiky” by Brooklyn Vegan and noted for packing “four pounds of kickass into a two pound bag” by The Deli Magazine, their next single ‘MESH’ promises rollicking deliverance when it debuts September 15th.

The 4-some consists of Brian Hemmert (vocals), Joel Kalow (guitar), John Mason (drums), and Matt Nitzberg (bass).
